On the 7th of April, TAIFEX signed a Memorandum of Co-operation (MoC) with the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). The signing of the MoC will facilitate the launch of new investment products and a mutual exchange of experience and information between the two markets.
At the April 7 signing ceremony, the WSE executed signings of three MoCs. In addition to the TAIFEX agreement, the Polish organization also signed agreements with the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC) and the GreTai Securities Market (GTSM). The participants are aiming to co-operate for the benefit of the financial services industries in Poland and Taiwan, and will explore bilateral business opportunities. Under the terms of the MoCs, the parties will enter into detailed discussions and share expertise related to a variety of fields such as joint product development and distribution, the design of new trading features, and the enhancement of data distribution. Moreover, WSE plans to encourage companies traded in Taiwan to list their shares in the Polish capital after the company signed agreements on cooperation with Taiwan’s bourse.
WSE Management Board Member Adam Maciejewski was among the group of WSE officials present at the signing ceremony. While in Taiwan, he met with representatives of the Taiwanese business community and spoke with reporters on the significance of the MoCs: “The agreements signed with the three Taiwanese markets attest to the growing importance of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, not only in Europe but also globally. The Polish market attracts strong interest and makes it possible to introduce increasingly interesting investment products,” said Maciejewski.
